Important Notes. Before installing this driver update, check to see if an updated BIOS is available for your computer.

If one is available, please install it. To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding. It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process. Select the situation that best describes your situation:.: I may use a Sony VAIO USB mouse (PCGA-UMS1 series), or a non-Sony, third party USB scroll-wheel mouse, or a Sony Memory Stick mouse (MSAC-US5).: I only use a Sony Memory Stick mouse (MSAC-US5), or a non-Sony, third-party USB scroll-wheel mouse device. I do not use a Sony VAIO USB mouse (PCGA-UMS1 series). Download the 130WHQL.ZIP file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference). Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the 10WHQL.ZIP file to unzip the files to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference). Connect your USB mouse to the USB port on the computer. Click Start-Settings-Control Panel and click the System icon. The 'System Properties' dialog box appears.

Select the Device Manager tab. Click on Human Interface Devices (HID) and select USB Human Interface Device. Click on Properties. Click the 'Update Driver.'

Double-click the Sony VAIO USB Mouse from Add/Remove Programs Properties. Select the Yes option in the 'Confirm File Deletion' dialog box to begin the uninstall process. Connect the USB mouse device to the computer's USB port. The mouse is ready for use.
