I've tested it before and after the patch. For example I've earned the Fast Expand achievement, just 5 minutes ago on this account in an offline game as explained in this thread. You can earn achievements when playing in offline games. Try it yourself. Clearly, B.net still tracks your offline games to reward achievements. Therefore, the option to make an offline game is redundant and should be removed.

All games with 1 human player should automatically be offline, and all games with more than 1 player can only be online. There is no reason why there needs to be an option, because it should always, in every case, be automatic.
